On Wednesday the 8th of February the executive dinner “I love my IT department: The Impact of Big Data” was organised by Giarte in collaboration with HP. Below a short impression of the evening.

The Economist wrote: ‘Data equity will be as important as brand equity.’ Big Data is a hot topic, the enormous amount of organisational data will explode. Administration of all this data will increase expenses, but how can the business benefit? During dinner Saul van Beurden (COO/CIO ING Direct & International) and Dennis Kamst (CIO Essent) shared their experiences.

Attendance of this executive dinner ‘I Love My IT Department’ were by personal invitation only. Guests included CIOs, members of the CIO office and board members of large organisations in the Netherlands. This informal evening centred on the exchange of experiences and views with other decision makers.
